Even as someone who values and speaks on relational leadership, I used to struggle with trusting my team completely after delegating tasks. It wasn't intentional, but I was inadvertently signaling a lack of trust!

It was challenging—I had to resist the urge to micromanage—but by doing so, I gave my team the space to innovate and take ownership. They began generating ideas and solving problems in ways I hadn't considered, ultimately making things better for everyone involved -- including clients!


This shift taught me a profound lesson in leadership: sometimes, less involvement from me meant greater empowerment for my team and better overall results for the business.
